Measure your download speed, upload speed, and network latency directly in your browser. The test uses Cloudflare's global edge network for reliable measurements from your nearest server location.

What is measured

How does the speed test work?▶
The test measures download speed by fetching a 10MB file from Cloudflare's edge network, upload speed by sending 2MB of random data, and latency by timing small requests. All measurements use the Performance API for accuracy.
Are the results accurate?▶
The results give a good approximation of your connection speed. Browser-based speed tests have some overhead compared to native apps, and results can vary based on network conditions, browser tab activity, and Cloudflare edge server proximity.
What servers are used?▶
The test uses Cloudflare's global edge network (speed.cloudflare.com). Cloudflare has servers in over 300 cities worldwide, so requests are routed to your nearest edge location.
Is any data collected?▶
This tool doesn't collect or store your speed test results. The test data is sent to Cloudflare's speed test endpoints which are designed for this purpose. No personal data is transmitted.
